Dr. Miccio-Fonseca, is the creator of the MEGA^♪ risk assessment tool, or Multiplex Empirically Guided Inventory of Ecological Aggregates for Assessing Sexually Abusive Children and Adolescents (Ages 4-19).

Dr. Miccio-Fonseca is a clinical psychologist and researcher, author of numerous articles on the topic of sexually abusive individuals, and provides expert witness testimony involving cases of sexual abuse and sex offenders. She provides training, workshops, and consultations internationally. 

Dr. Miccio-Fonseca also created the Personal Sentence Completion Inventory (PSCI, 1994) first of its kind, versatile inventory used in exploring erotic development with youth and adults. The famous late international sexologist Dr. John Money, (Johns Hospital University) called the PSCI “innovative and strongly recommends it without reservation.” 

Dr. Miccio-Fonseca served as the past Chair of the Board of Directors of the California Coalition on Sexual Offending (2007-2009).  The California Coalition on Sexual Offending awarded her the Faye Honey Knopp Award (2010) in recognition “of exceptional dedication, commitment, and leadership to the field of sexual offender treatment.”
